Introducing AAG's new President, Vice President and Board!

AAG is pleased to introduce Anita Westera, AAG's new President, who took over the role at the end of 2024. As President, Anita serves as National Chair of AAG's Board and Research Trust and continues on the NSW Executive Committee. Anita has previously served as AAG's Vice President since mid-2023.
Awarded a Distinguished Member of AAG in 2020, Anita is an experienced researcher, policy analyst, project manager and advocate who is passionate about influencing local (service delivery) and systemic (policy and program) processes to improve the lives of older people and people living with dementia. Anita refers to herself as a 'Political Gerontologist,' acknowledging the interaction between public administration reforms and the development/ implementation of policies and programs that impact on older people.
We congratulate Anita on her appointment and look forward to her stewardship and enthusiasm as our new President.

Following Anita's appointment as President, AAG Board member, Lui Di Venuto, has been appointed as AAG's new Vice President. Lui has been an active member of the South Australian committee since 2003 and Chair of the SA Division since 2014. He has extensive experience in community care and service development within Local Government in South Australia, and social services in the UK.
